Day 31 - All Mixed Up

Think in thirds on this one -
Here's the challenge:

Take an image (digi, stamp, etc.) and break it down into thirds - 1/3 no color, 1/3 patterned paper, 1/3 hand colored (markers, colored pencils, chalks, paint, etc.).

It doesn't have to be in perfect thirds, just broken down into three parts

Here is what I did and I don't like it
but my printer is out of ink and it was all
I could think of...

Day 25 - Do-it-Yourself

I love these DIY challenges because they are a reminder to us all that we don't necessarily have to own store-bought embellies - we can create them ourselves!

Here's the DIY challenge for today:

Do-it-Yourself, glittered brads and/or pearls.

Take a brad or a pearl, add a little glue and a little glitter, and you've got yourself some glittery goodness!!

and here is my card

I finally did a layout

Well I broke out the old 12X12 and got a layout done today!

Day 24 - Terrific Ten

Day 23 - Stencil It

I don't know about you, but I have some stencils tucked way back in a drawer that sadly never see the light of day. If that's the case for you, then it's time to blow off the dust and put them to work!

That's it - all you have to do is use a stencil to meet the challenge.

Day 22 - Movie Monday

On to today's challenge...

When I started seeing posters and other advertisements for the new Alice in Wonderland movie, I new it would make a great challenge. This poster in particular is quite eye-catching:

Day 20 - Let's Make Some Noise

I was at the craft store the other day, just browsing as I often do....okay, maybe I picked up a few things...

Anyway, I noticed these little plastic containers that are used to make shaker cards - so cool! Now, I've seen these before, but it just clicked in my brain finally that we should have a noisy card challenge. You don't need to make a shaker card (but you sure can if you want to!). You could use some little jingle bells or other dangly items that will make noise when you shake the card.

Mine is a bit different
I used plastic wrap to make my noise

Day 19 - Imagine This: Cotton

For an Imagine This challenge, you use some object to inspire your card. In this case, the challenge is to think of cotton. Sophie definitely thought 'white for her card':

Day 18 - Plentiful Patterns

Here's the Challenge:
Use at least 3 of the following patterns on your card -
Plaid, Paisley, Gingham, Houndstooth, Toile
Ok so I have been very busy this week and sort of threw these together....

Day 17 - Twinchies

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!
Your whole card can be a twinchie, or you can put one (or two or three) on your card. You'll need to decorate a 2x2 inch piece of cardstock (or chipboard or some other material) to meet the challenge.

Day 16 - Opposites Attract

This one should be pretty fun, I think.
Feature a pair of opposite images on your card - sun/moon, sun/rain, boy/girl, etc.

Day 13 - A Whole New Dimension

Here's the challenge: Take an image and do just a bit of paper piecing in order to raise some portion of it off the page to give it dimension. Do NOT raise up the entire image. This can be a stamped image or an image cut from patterned paper.

Day 12 - Circle Frenzy

Here's the challenge:

Include 20 or more circles from at least 2 different sources on your card.

Day 11 - Lovely Landscape

So I'm definitely looking for an outdoor theme here...

The Specifics: Create a background on your card using patterned paper (no solid background) - you can use blue shades for sky, green shades for grass, etc.

Day 10 Wacky Color Wednesday

Ok so I got a little behind had some things going on in life.
I am going to post 3 cards today to get me caught up.

Orange - Purple - Blue

The challenge is to limit the color scheme to shades of these colors.
